Explorers are more independent and there is wider scope for activities like gliding, parascending, mountaineering and youth led expeditions and camps. The section also includes the Young Leaders’ Scheme, where young people are able to take on a leadership role in one of the younger sections.Explorers is a good way for teenagers to socialise and make new friends. They also do a lot more camps and do more national and county events
